BDC’s Core Program continues in 4th, 5th and 6th Grade with Progressions. The Core Program is for those who aim to be well-rounded dancers, learning multiple styles. Electives are also available for this age group.

BDC’s Company is an audition-based class for 3rd-6th Graders. It is for dancers who participate in our Core Program and who aim to progress quickly and perform more in the community.
BDC’s Competition Team is an audition-based team for 4th-6th Graders. It is for dancers who participate in our Core Program and who aim to progress quickly and perform more, specifically, at competitions.
Core Program

Progressions 1 - 4th Grade
Progressions 2 - 5th Grade
Progressions 3 - 6th Grade
Progressions will meet twice weekly with the same core group. This class will provide dancers the repetition to maximize their ability to progress and become skilled, well-rounded dancers.
In Progressions 1, dancers will meet twice a week for an hour and a half at a time. Dancers will learn ballet, tap, and jazz. Their jazz class will include styles such as lyrical, contemporary, and hip hop.
In Progressions 2 and 3, dancers will meet twice a week for two hours at a time. During this time frame, dancers will have a ballet class, a jazz/hip hop class, and a lyrical/contemporary class. They will also have a once a week class dedicated to technique and conditioning. This technique & conditioning class will focus on leaps, turns, extensions, strength and flexibility.
These dancers will perform at least 2 dances in the Recital.
A Note about Ballet: Ballet is an essential component to developing as a dancer. All technical work such as leaps, turns, kicks, extensions, and body control stem from ballet training. The necessary understanding of body alignment and isolations come from ballet training as well. Ballet allows dancers to quickly pick up the styles of jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and hip hop.

Costume Fee: $115 per Costume (2 Costumes)
Performance Company and Competition Team
Auditions: Sunday, June 2nd
Performance Company and Competition Team are audition-based programs. Performance Company and Competition Team are for dancers committed to furthering their technique and performance skills across genres. Dancers will learn complex choreography and attend Dance Conventions in our area. By joining Performance Company or Competition Team, dancers and their families commit to excellent attendance at all dance classes. Families will know dates of conventions and competitions far in advance to ensure attendance.
*Performance Company is an option for dancers beginning in 3rd grade. Performance Company will perform at various events and around the community.
*Competition Team is an option for dancers beginning in 4th grade. Competition Team dancers will perform at competitions as a team but also potentially in smaller groups such as solos, duos, and trios.
*Dancers must be enrolled in the Core Program to audition: Foundations or Progressions
Electives
Hip Hop Hour
4th-6th Grades
In Hip Hop Hour, dancers will explore their individual style and dance to popular music. They will learn to move to the beat, building musicality, control, and coordination. Dancers will perform ONE dance in the recital. These classes mix 4th-6th grades.
Tuition: Two separate payments of $490*
Costume Fee: $115
