Classes Begin September 16, 2024
BDC’s Core Program continues in 2nd and 3rd grades with Foundations. Foundations is for those who aim to be well-rounded dancers, learning multiple styles.

BDC’s Company is an option beginning in 3rd grade. It is an audition-based class. It is for dancers who participate in our Core Program and who aim to progress quickly and perform more.

Foundations
Foundations 1- 2nd Grade
Foundations 2- 3rd Grade
Foundations focuses on producing well-rounded dancers in ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop. The class will begin with a ballet section where dancers will participate in barre and center floor exercises. Dancers will then learn a combination of tap and jazz/hip hop, developing a sense of rhythm while building strength, control, and coordination. Dancers will perform TWO dances in the Recital.
A Note about Ballet: Ballet is an essential component to developing as a dancer. All technical work such as leaps, turns, kicks, extensions, and body control stem from ballet training. The necessary understanding of body alignment and isolations come from ballet training as well. Ballet training allows dancers to quickly pick up the styles of jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and hip hop.
Tuition: Two separate payments of $720*
Costume Fee: $115 per costume (2 costumes)

Performance Company
Open to 3rd-6th Grades
Auditions: Sunday, June 2nd
Performance Company is an audition-based program for dancers who are committed to furthering their technique and performance across genres. Performance Company dancers will learn complex choreography throughout the year to perform at various special events and the Recital. Performance Company dancers will also attend Conventions. By joining Performance Company, dancers and their families commit to excellent attendance at all dance classes. Families will know dates of conventions and performances far in advance to ensure attendance.
*Dancers must be enrolled in the Core Program to audition: Foundations or Progressions.
Electives
Jazz, Tap, Go
2nd-3rd Grades
Dancers will learn the basic techniques of Jazz and Tap and enjoy fun, upbeat choreography. This class will build confidence, coordination, and creativity. Dancers will perform ONE dance in the recital. This is a 2nd-3rd grade class.
Tuition: Two separate payments of $490*
Costume Fee: $115

Hip Hop Hour
2nd-3rd Grades
In Hip Hop Hour, dancers will explore their individual style and dance to popular music. They will learn to move to the beat, building musicality, control, and coordination. Dancers will perform ONE dance in the recital. These class mix 2nd and 3rd grades.
Tuition: Two separate payments of $490*
