Move with Me aims to nurture and cultivate the natural joy of movement in toddlers with the support and participation of their caregivers. It’s a class for exploration and imagination. Must be 2 by September 1st.

Preschoolers are offered one option in class type. Classes are divided by age group. See Class Descriptions for more information.

Core Program

BDC’s Core Program begins in Kindergarten and 1st Grade with Elements, a ballet and tap combination class. BDC’s Core Program is for those who aim to be well-rounded dancers, learning multiple styles. See Class Descriptions for more information.

One dance class is preferable for this age group, not including AcroDance. Exceptions can apply.

Core Program

Progressions is the next step in BDC’s Core Program, following Foundations. BDC’s Core Program is for those who aim to be well-rounded dancers, learning multiple styles.

Progressions 1 (4th grade) meets twice a week for 1.5 hours. See Class Description for more information.

Competition Team (4th-8th Grades)

BDC’s Competition Team is an audition-based class. It is for dancers who participate in our Core Program and who aim to progress quickly and who want to compete at competitions. It requires a more serious time and financial commitment. See Class Description for more information.

Core Program

The Leveled Dynamics Program for 6th Grade and Up is the next step in BDC’s Core Program, following Progressions. BDC’s Core Program is for those who aim to be well-rounded dancers, learning multiple styles.

Dancers are placed into Dynamics 1, 2, 3, or 4 based on level. When dancers are in class with others at a similar technical level they:

• learn at the right pace

• build skills sequentially

• avoid needing to relearn or review mastered skills

• experience more productive choreography sessions

Dancers should expect to remain in the same level for 2-3 years.

Electives

• Dynamic Hip Hop is for Dynamics Program dancers only. It meets for 45 minutes once a week.

• Leaps, Extensions, and Turns Class (LET) is an extra technique class for Dynamics Program dancers.

• AcroDance — By assessment. Dancers must be registered in at least one other dance class to participate in AcroDance 2 and up.

• Hip Hop Hour is open to dancers up to 7th grade.

• Tween Contemporary is open to dancers up to 7th grade.
